Requires local elected officials to file annual written statements reporting gifts valued at $100 or more received by the official or immediate family members from persons with or seeking business relationships with the political subdivision.

Statements must be filed with the county election board by the same deadline as candidate committee reports and include gift description, giver's name and business address, fair market value, and acceptance date.

State board of accounts may impose civil penalties of $10 per day for delinquent or deficient statements, with a maximum penalty of $1,000.

Filing a false statement constitutes a Class A infraction; all penalties collected go to the political subdivision's general fund.

First statements due January 21, 2015, covering July 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014; law effective July 1, 2014.
