HEA 1134 Summary

• Adds new section IC 32-21-13-7 to Indiana Code, effective July 1, 2014
• Defines "homeowners association property" as real property owned by association members, the association itself, or members in common
• Prohibits homeowners associations from adopting or enforcing rules or covenants that prevent candidates, elected officials, their spouses, or volunteer workers from entering association property to conduct political activity
• Applies to all homeowners association property regardless of ownership structure
