Department of Natural Resources must identify, study, and gather information about aquifers directly connected to the Wabash River, the White River, and the Ohio River by December 31, 2014, including assessment of their potential for public water supply.

Department shall establish and maintain a common database containing all information gathered about these aquifers.

Department must submit a status report to the water resources study committee by October 31, 2014 concerning the study and information gathered.

Department shall develop water conservation measures for the Wabash, White, and Ohio River basins that are consistent with water conservation measures for the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River basin.

Water resources study committee shall study water distribution system issues and identify measures necessary to develop a plan creating a stable grid linking water distribution systems in these three river basins during the 2014 legislative interim.
