Extends the germination test validity period for agricultural and vegetable seeds from 9 months to 12 months before distribution in Indiana, effective July 1, 2014

State seed commissioner retains authority to designate shorter periods for seeds that cannot maintain germination within tolerance limits during the 12-month period

State seed commissioner may also authorize longer periods for seeds packaged under prescribed conditions that maintain viability beyond 12 months

Maintains existing prohibitions on distributing seeds with improper labeling, prohibited noxious weed content, or ineffective inoculants
