School corporations and charter schools must ensure parents have continuing access to all computer resources used by students, including login names and passwords

"Computer resources" defined as textbooks, internet websites, local network materials, and computer hardware/software materials

Requirement applies when students use computer resources for academic study, classroom activities, assignments, or required assessments and surveys

Schools must mail parents information at the beginning of each school year on how to access student computer resources, and must mail notice of any login or password changes during the year

Effective date: July 1, 2014
