Honors Commissioner Larry S. Landis for more than 11 years of dedicated service to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and the citizens of Indiana upon his retirement.

Commissioner Landis was first appointed to the IURC on December 17, 2002, by Governor Frank O'Bannon and served under Governors Kernan, Daniels, and Pence.

Presided over hundreds of cases spanning all industries, with particular expertise and recognition in the communications area.

Appointed to serve on numerous federal-state committees and boards including the Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service, the Federal-State Joint Conference on Advanced Telecommunications Services (serving as state chair), and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Board of Directors.

The Indiana General Assembly expresses gratitude to Commissioner Landis and wishes him continued success and happiness in retirement, with the House Principal Clerk directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to him.
