Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the first sorority established by African American college women, founded at Howard University in 1908 and now operating 850 chapters internationally.

Acknowledges Indiana's 22 Alpha Kappa Alpha chapters on college and university campuses and active alumnae groups throughout the state.

Recognizes the sorority's community service initiatives focused on education, health, the economy, arts, and family, including hands-only CPR training and the 40 Days of Peace Campaign to reduce community violence.

Honors Regional Connection Chair Kianha Davis, State Connection Chair Vanessa J. Summers, and all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Day at the Capitol for their community work.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to the recognized Alpha Kappa Alpha leaders and members.
