Indiana General Assembly formally recognizes Cardinal Services for 60 years of service to people with disabilities and young children, marking the organization's founding in 1954

Cardinal Services began when families came together to educate children with disabilities in a family home, later opening a sheltered workshop for adults with developmental disabilities in 1964

Organization expanded to offer residential group homes, community living, affordable housing, day services, job placement, and early childhood programs including First Steps, Healthy Families, Head Start, and WIC

Cardinal Services currently serves approximately 4,000 children, adults, and families annually across five Northern Indiana counties: Cass, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, and Marshall

Resolution directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit copies of the resolution to Cardinal Services
