Indiana General Assembly congratulates Judge Robert Wilkins on his confirmation to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on January 13, 2014

Judge Wilkins was born in Muncie, Indiana in 1963, attended Muncie Northside High School, earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1989

Previously served as a U.S. District Court judge for the District of Columbia from 2010 to 2014, and worked as a partner at Venable LLP specializing in white collar defense and intellectual property

Served on the presidential commission advising President George W. Bush on establishing the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture

Recognized by the National Law Journal as one of the "40 under 40 most successful young litigators in America" and by Legal Times as one of the "90 Greatest Washington Lawyers of the Last 30 Years"
