Recognizes the LaPorte Emergency Responders, volunteers, and Indiana Department of Transportation for their response to a massive pileup on I-94 in Northern Indiana in late January that killed three people and injured more than 20 others.

Acknowledges the LaPorte Emergency Responders who worked to free trapped victims and provide prompt and compassionate care to the injured without concern for their own safety.

Commends countless volunteers who assisted victims at the accident scene despite personal safety risks.

Recognizes Indiana Department of Transportation snow plow drivers who worked long hours to keep highway conditions passable during the winter storm.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit copies of the resolution to the LaPorte Emergency Responders, volunteers, and the Indiana Department of Transportation commissioner.
