Honors John Newlin and Charles "Butch" Newlin for rescuing 80-year-old Del Gilliatt on January 24, 2014, after she slipped on ice and fell outside her home in temperatures between 0 and 10 degrees.

Del Gilliatt lay on the ground for more than 30 minutes with freezing clothes before suffering a heart attack from the trauma and extreme cold.

John and Butch Newlin, employees of T&S Trash Service, found Del, helped her to a chair on her porch, located her house keys, and brought her inside.

The Newlins called an ambulance and remained with Del until medical help arrived, potentially saving her life.

The Indiana House of Representatives expresses admiration and thankfulness to the two men and directs the Principal Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to John Newlin, Charles "Butch" Newlin, and their families.
