Senate Enrolled Act No. 4 Summary

• Defines "farmland" as agricultural land devoted to crop, fruit, timber, or livestock production, or assessed as agricultural land for property tax purposes.

• Exempts farmland owners and lessees (and their spouses and children) from hunting and fishing license requirements on their land, subject to residency and reciprocity conditions for nonresidents.

• Allows public use airport managers to chase or take white-tailed deer, coyotes, wild turkeys, or migratory birds posing aircraft threats without a license, at any time except by trapping.

• Requires public use airport managers to report annually to the department the number of animals killed by species, dates taken, person information, animal disposition, and gift/donation recipients.

• Imposes permit requirement for airport managers who fail to provide requested animal harvest information to the department within 14 calendar days of request.
