Makes it a Class C infraction for a person having care of a child less than six years old to leave the child unsupervised in a motor vehicle.

Defines "unsupervised" as not under the supervision of a person at least twelve years of age.

Provides a defense if the motor vehicle is located at the person's residence and the engine is off.

Defines "care" as care assumed either voluntarily or because of a legal obligation.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
