Requires school corporations to include the study of black history in their elementary and high school social studies curriculum, effective July 1, 2014.

Mandates that accredited nonpublic elementary and secondary schools include the study of black history in their social studies curriculum.

Amends IC 20-30-5-7 to add black history study requirement alongside existing requirements for Holocaust education in high school United States history courses.

Adds new section IC 20-30-5-7.2 establishing the requirement for nonpublic schools to teach black history in social studies.
