Motor carrier services division of the department of state revenue must develop and publish an online log on its website before July 1, 2014, pertaining to hours of service and consecutive hours off duty for drivers of contract carriers transporting railroad employees.

Drivers of contract carriers transporting railroad employees must complete the published log, keep it current, and show it to railroad employees upon request in either hard copy or online format.

Failure to complete the log, keep it current, or display it to a railroad employee upon request constitutes a Class C infraction.

Motor carrier services division may adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 to implement and administer the chapter.

Bill takes effect upon passage, with the log publication requirement effective July 1, 2014.
