Increases the criminal law and sentencing policy study committee from 14 to 15 members by adding the attorney general or the attorney general's designee.

The attorney general becomes the ninth member category of the committee, which also includes legislators, judges, corrections officials, and representatives from prosecuting and public defender councils.

Amends Indiana Code section IC 2-5-33.4-2, effective upon passage.

Senate Committee on Corrections & Criminal Law recommended passage with a vote of 10-0.

An emergency clause is declared for this act.
