IN SB0310

Adds new section IC 32-21-2-9.5 requiring deeds and other instruments of conveyance transferring real property ownership be recorded by the recipient in the appropriate county recorder's office.

Recording must occur within 90 days after the ownership interest in the real property is transferred, unless another law requires a shorter period.

The deed or conveyance instrument must be filed in the county recorder's office of the county where the real property is located.

Effective July 1, 2014.
