SB 349 Summary

• Adds definitions of "caller" and "supplier" to Indiana's trade regulation code, effective July 1, 2014
• Requires telephone solicitors, suppliers, and callers to exclude telephone numbers appearing on the division's do-not-call listing when obtaining consumer information
• Prohibits selling, transferring, or making available consumer telephone numbers that appear on the quarterly do-not-call listing for solicitation purposes
• Prohibits transferring live calls to other persons if the call was placed in violation of telephone solicitation or related laws
• Establishes that violations constitute deceptive acts actionable by the attorney general, and may result in state contractors being prohibited from contracting or having existing contracts voided
