Senate Bill 364 Summary

• Authorizes riverboats to extend gambling operations to riverboat corridors (ramps, passageways, and enclosed areas) that comply with building codes and gaming commission safety requirements, with no fee imposed for this extension.

• Authorizes table games at racinos (racetracks with gambling) subject to commission approval of a table game plan; table game positions are excluded from license renewal fee calculations.

• Repeals the riverboat admissions tax (IC 4-33-12) effective July 1, 2014, and replaces it with an annual community development fee equal to the admissions taxes collected in state fiscal year 2014.

• Makes conforming changes throughout Indiana Code to reflect the repeal of the admissions tax and implementation of community development fees, affecting distribution of gaming revenue to cities, counties, schools, and state funds.
