Recognizes the 20th anniversary of the State Partnership Program between the Slovak Republic and Indiana, established February 9, 1994, as one of the first eight partnerships in the program

The State Partnership Program was created in 1993 and is administered by the National Guard Bureau to build international security cooperation, now encompassing all U.S. states and territories with 65 countries worldwide

Partnership activities have included senior leader visitations, military-to-military exchanges, joint exercises, and joint operations between the Slovak Armed Forces and Indiana National Guard

Joint Military Assistance Teams (MAT) trained the Afghan National Army on logistics systems and tactics, with four teams successfully deployed from 2011 through 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom

Directs copies of the resolution be transmitted to Major General R. Martin Umbarger, Adjutant General of Indiana, and Major General Peter Vojtek, Chief of Defense for the Slovak Republic
