Professor Lawrence Jegen III began teaching at Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis in August 1962 and has continued for almost 52 years at what is now Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law

Professor Jegen has taught civil and criminal law, federal and state taxation, business and estate planning, and philanthropy, delivering over 420 bar review tax lectures and 970 lectures to lawyers, professionals, and Congressional representatives

President Gerald Ford invited Professor Jegen to the signing of ERISA in the White House Rose Garden in recognition of his contributions to the legislation

Professor Jegen has received the Thomas Hart Benton Mural Medallion twice, Indiana University's Most Outstanding Law Professor Award six times, the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from three governors, and a Presidential Citation from the Indiana State Bar Association

The Indiana General Assembly recognizes and congratulates Professor Jegen on his extensive accomplishments, appointments, awards, and service to the legal community
