Stephen J. Johnson (May 16, 1947 – 2014) served nearly 40 years with the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council (IPAC), including as Executive Director from 1997 until his retirement in 2011

Contributed to Indiana's criminal justice system by serving on legislative committees, drafting bills, helping rewrite the Indiana penal code, and implementing a statewide computer system linking state and local criminal justice offices

Received the Eugene "Shine" Feller Award from Indiana prosecutors, was named a Distinguished Hoosier by Governor Mitch Daniels, and was recognized by the Indiana Supreme Court for his service

Indiana General Assembly honors Johnson's lifetime of service and directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to his surviving family members and the IPAC Executive Director
