The Indiana Senate congratulates the Clinton County 4H state championship team on winning the meats judging award at the State Meats Career Development Event held at Purdue University on January 25, 2014

Team members Kelly Fox, Tyler McFauls, Mackenzie Padgett, and Rachel Stowers identified thirty retail meat cuts by sight, placed six classes of wholesale and retail cuts, and provided reasons on three classes during the competition

Tyler McFauls received the highest individual award in the state, Mackenzie Padgett placed second, and Rachel Stowers and Kelly Fox placed third and fourth individually

Tyler McFauls and Rachel Stowers competed on the state championship meats judging team for the fourth consecutive year, with the team coached by Clinton Central High School agriculture teacher Roger K. Carr
