Founded with $10,000 initial investment by Ellis Brown, Charles W. Kling, and Harold Heckamen; now employs more than 200 individuals

Company achieved 1,000 continuous days and 1 million man hours without a lost time accident; expansions include $5 million ductile iron production (1996), in-house pattern shop (2009), Plant II machine shop (2010), Wellness Center (November 2012), and BCI Defense, LLC (December 2012)

Remains a family-run enterprise with five generations of the Brown family involved in operations and leadership
