Establishes the autism subcommittee as a permanent subcommittee of the public health, behavioral health, and human services interim study committee.

Chair of the public health, behavioral health, and human services interim study committee shall appoint 3 voting members from the study committee, appoint the subcommittee chair, and appoint 2 nonvoting lay members for each interim.

Autism subcommittee shall study the service delivery system for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families, and study the need and effectiveness of programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Subcommittee must meet at least 2 times each interim and report findings to the public health, behavioral health, and human services interim study committee each interim.

Expenses for the autism subcommittee, including per diem, mileage, and travel allowances, shall be paid from money authorized by the legislative council for operation of the parent study committee without increasing the authorized amount.
