Establishes certification requirements for high pressure boiler operators under Indiana Code IC 25-42, effective July 1, 2015.

Requires individuals operating high pressure boilers to be certified by the boiler and pressure vessel rules board and hold a valid license from the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE), or work under direct supervision of a licensed NIULPE operator.

Defines high pressure boiler as a boiler with maximum allowable working pressure of at least 15 pounds per square inch (psi) and more than 6 boiler horsepower (33,475 BTU/h).

Certificates issued by the board expire on the earlier of 2 years from issuance or the expiration date of the NIULPE license; renewal requires demonstration of a valid NIULPE license and payment of board-established fees.

Violation of certification requirements constitutes a Class C infraction; aggrieved applicants may seek judicial review under Indiana Administrative Code IC 4-21.5.
