Legislative Description
Identification cards for discharged offenders. Provides that, when a committed offender is released on parole or discharged from the department of correction, the department shall provide the offender with an Indiana identification card issued by the bureau of motor vehicles if the offender: (1) does not already possess a valid Indiana driver's license or identification card; (2) submits an application to the bureau; (3) is a resident of Indiana; (4) has presented valid documentary evidence to the bureau of the offender's legal status in the United States; and (5) is unable to provide an identification card for himself or herself.
