IN HB1442

Establishes the Indiana veterans education center of excellence as a repository and clearinghouse for information on educational benefits and programs available to veteran students at state educational institutions.

Assigns the Commission for Higher Education to designate staff responsible for operating the center in consultation with the Indiana Department of Veterans' Affairs and Department of Education.

Requires center staff to maintain contact information for combat to college program coordinators at each state educational institution and compile information on programs and services available to veterans.

Directs the center to publish coordinator contact information and veteran programs and services on the Commission's Internet web site.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
