Legislative Description
Proof of financial responsibility. Revises requirements for requests by the bureau of motor vehicles (bureau) for evidence of financial responsibility following an accident or a judgment or conviction for a violation of a motor vehicle law. Provides that the bureau shall, after receiving a certificate of compliance with respect to an individual against whom a judgment was entered for failing to provide proof of financial responsibility, petition the court to prohibit the disclosure of information related to the judgment.
