Indiana General Assembly expresses concern that the 2015 ISTEP testing time has significantly increased from previous years, causing disruption to normal school activities.

Assembly intends to temporarily suspend by legislative action portions of Indiana Code necessary to shorten the 2015 ISTEP exam while maintaining school accountability and teacher pay systems.

General Assembly directs both Houses to accomplish necessary legislative action as expeditiously as possible under House Rules and the Indiana Constitution.

Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Governor, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and State Board of Education.
