Indiana General Assembly recognizes Dennis Shults, Bill Emerson, Ernie Dillon, Patrick O'Donnell, and Don Shults for their accomplishments and dedication to veterans.

Five honorees created "Veterans Views" television program on Comcast Cable in Lake County in 2004 to provide outreach to veterans and the community.

Program expanded to WJOB radio (AM 1230) in Hammond in 2009 with call-in format; initial 30-minute show was extended to 90 minutes due to high call volume.

"Veterans Views" reaches global audience through livestream at WJOB1230.com with callers from throughout the United States, Denmark, Germany, and Australia.

Program received Excellence in Communication award from American Legion Department of Indiana in 2011; Principal Clerk of House to transmit resolution copy to honorees and WJOB radio.
