Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the 2014 Purdue University Livestock Judging Team for earning National Champion honors at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Purdue livestock judging team develops students' decision-making and communication skills through evaluating beef cattle, swine, and sheep across breeding and market classes using scientific principles.

Competition format requires students to place animal classes, compare their placings to official committee placings scored on the cut system, and defend decisions through oral presentations.

Principal Clerk of the House shall transmit copies of the resolution to team members Andrew Huffman, Alex Hegg, Isaak Mersch, Brennen North, Breanna Lawyer, Callie Edie, Logan Rinehold, Mark DeGolyer, Charlie Huelsenbeck, Josh Streitmatter, and coach Matt Claeys.
