Indiana House of Representatives recognizes the MTI School of Knowledge on its 25th anniversary of establishment.

MTI School of Knowledge (Madrasa Tul Ilm) was founded 25 years ago by the Muslim community in Indianapolis to provide traditional Islamic education guided by the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.

School was established as a home schooling program by four sisters: Sr. Muslimah Mustafa, Sr. Jamila Al-Khattab, Sr. Mu'mina Blackman, and Sr. Saeeda Amatullah, and has expanded from a couple of families to six families and eventually into a larger facility with a Masjid.

MTI School of Knowledge teaches students communication, computation, social relations, creative thinking, and problem solving while nurturing moral values and proper Islamic behavior.

Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit a copy of the resolution to the MTI School of Knowledge and encourage the school to continue educating Indianapolis children.
