Recognizes Atterbury Job Corps and IndyPendence Job Corps Centers on their 50th anniversary of providing workforce training and skills development to students at no cost.

Atterbury Job Corps Center is located in Edinburgh approximately 35 miles south of Indianapolis, with IndyPendence Job Corps as a satellite center in downtown Indianapolis.

Job Corps helps young people earn high school diplomas or GEDs, start high wage careers, enroll in college, enlist in the military, or obtain specialized skills in advanced training programs.

Centers have partnered with employers including TJ Maxx/Marshalls, Aisin Manufacturing, The Westin Hotel, Cummins Engine, and educational institutions such as Ivy Tech, Franklin College, and Martin University to provide work-based learning internships.

Atterbury Job Corps and IndyPendence Job Corps Centers achieve a 91 percent placement rate in higher education, employment, advanced training programs, or military careers, serving over 1,000 young Hoosiers annually.
