The Indiana House of Representatives congratulates the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend for displaying the exhibit "Lincoln's Final Journey: A Nation Mourns" to commemorate the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's assassination on April 14, 1865.

The exhibit features rare artifacts from the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History, Ford's Theatre, the Indiana State Museum, and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the carriage used by President Lincoln to travel with his wife Mary to Ford's Theatre on April 14, 1865, which is a permanent part of the Studebaker Corporation's historic vehicles collection.

President Lincoln spent his formative childhood years in Indiana, and his funeral train made stops in Indianapolis and Michigan City en route to Chicago.

The Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Rebecca J. Bonham, Executive Director of the Studebaker National Museum.
