Amends IC 31-11-6-1 to add notary public to the list of individuals authorized to solemnize marriages in Indiana.

Notary public becomes the eleventh category of persons legally permitted to perform marriage ceremonies, joining clergy, judges, mayors, city/town clerks, circuit court clerks, and representatives of specific religious organizations.

Effective date is July 1, 2015.

Maintains existing authority for religious organizations including Friends Church, German Baptists, Bahai faith, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and imams of masjids to solemnize marriages according to their respective rules.
