SB 381 Summary

• Requires the division of disability and rehabilitative services to contract with an entity to provide vision assessments and early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities needing vision services.

• Adds "vision services" to the list of early intervention services that can be provided to eligible infants and toddlers under IC 12-12.7.

• Contract payments must cover visual impairment services, training, and administrative costs.

• Appropriates $500,000 annually from the state general fund to the division to implement the program.

• Effective July 1, 2015.
