Providence High School volleyball team defeated Southwood High School 3-0 on November 8, 2014, in the IHSAA Class 2A championship.

This marks the team's second consecutive state championship, having won their first Class 2A title in 2013.

Patricia Mattingly won the Class 2A Mental Attitude Award and will attend the U.S. Naval Academy with a Blue Chip Scholarship to study Internet Security and Cyber Warfare.

The Indiana General Assembly congratulates the Providence High School volleyball team on their second consecutive IHSAA Class 2A championship title.
