Indiana General Assembly honors and congratulates Tanner King for rescuing ten-year-old Ashlynn Wainscott from the White River after she fell through ice while sledding at an Anderson golf course.

Tanner King, a fourteen-year-old freshman at Anderson High School, used water rescue training from the Boy Scouts of America to safely reach and pull Ashlynn from the freezing water.

Tanner King employed proper ice rescue techniques by lying on his stomach to distribute his weight evenly across the ice before sliding across to reach the victim.

Secretary of the Senate directed to transmit copies of the resolution to Tanner King, his family, Ashlynn Wainscott's family, and Tanner King's Scoutmaster Tom Sheahan.
