Thomas E. Fruechtenicht, born April 8, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on April 10, 2015, at age 75 after a battle with cancer.

Served in the Indiana State House of Representatives starting in 1972 for four consecutive terms, serving as House Minority Caucus Chairman and Chairman of the House Public Policy Committee.

Practiced law in Fort Wayne as Justice of the Peace for Wayne Township and later worked as a registered lobbyist and government relations specialist, including as Senior Vice President at Bose Public Affairs Group from 2004 to 2011.

Received the Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest civilian honor from the Governor of Indiana, and was an active member of multiple bar associations and civic organizations.

The Indiana General Assembly memorializes Fruechtenicht and directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to his surviving family members.
