Indiana Sheriffs' Association was established in 1930 to promote better communication and exchange between sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel.

Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1977 and provides education and training for sheriffs and department personnel throughout the state.

Association provides college scholarships to qualified recipients and operates two annual leadership camps for teenagers each summer.
