Olivia Keith, a student at Sand Creek Intermediate School in Fishers, was named one of the top two youth volunteers in Indiana on February 10, 2015, during the 20th annual Prudential Spirit of Community Awards presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Keith earned the award by volunteering with the Brain Injury Association of America, inspired by her father's stroke and her mother's two traumatic brain injuries.

In addition to fundraising for the association, Keith educates peers about brain injury dangers, particularly concussions, through online safety tips, a self-developed educational game, and by donating bike helmets to fellow students.

The Indiana Senate congratulates Olivia Keith for her significant achievement in using her talents and resources to serve others.

The Secretary of the Senate is directed to transmit copies of the resolution to Olivia Keith and Sand Creek Intermediate School Principal Brent Farrell.
