Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Valparaiso, Indiana won the state championship in the Indiana Science Olympiad and will represent Indiana at the national competition in May

The school has captured the state title 23 times and 2015 marks the 26th consecutive year participating in the national championship

Thomas Jefferson students earned 7 first place medals and 6 second place finishes at the state competition, with all 16 team members earning at least 2 medals each

The Indiana Science Olympiad competition was held at Indiana University in Bloomington with 30 teams competing at each level (high school and middle school), while 60 teams from across the country will compete at the national level

The Secretary of the Senate shall transmit copies of this resolution to each team member and coaches Richard Bender and Carol Haller
