Indiana Senate condemns the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) Movement for seeking to undermine the Jewish people's right to self-determination in the State of Israel.

Indiana Senate condemns activities that directly or indirectly deny, violate, or delegitimize academic freedom, including promotion of academic boycotts by the BDS Movement against Israel.

Indiana Senate considers the international BDS Movement inherently antithetical to peace, justice, equality, democracy, and human rights for all peoples in the Middle East.

Indiana Senate reaffirms support for Israel, recognizes the Jewish people as indigenous to the land of Israel, condemns attacks on Israeli people, supports Israel's right to self-defense, and opposes denial of Israel's legitimacy as a sovereign state.

Indiana Senate denounces the BDS Movement for promoting a climate of hatred, intimidation, intolerance, and violence against Jews.

Senate Secretary shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the President of the United States, U.S. Congress, and the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.
