Amends IC 36-4-3-4 to allow municipalities in counties meeting specific population criteria to annex noncontiguous territory for industrial park use by ordinance.

Noncontiguous territory must be entirely within 2 miles of the municipality's boundary and either owned by the municipality or have consent from the property owner.

Territory must be used as an industrial park within 5 years of annexation ordinance passage; if not used or ceases use for 1 year, territory reverts to prior jurisdiction.

Annexed industrial park territory cannot be considered part of the municipality for purposes of annexing additional territory, except in counties with populations between 250,000-270,000 if boundaries become contiguous.

Effective date: July 1, 2016.
