Congratulates Homestead High School boys basketball team for winning the 2014-2015 Class 4A state championship in their first IHSAA appearance, defeating Evansville Reitz 91-90 in overtime.

Team rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final two minutes of regulation, with Tahj Curry scoring the final two buckets to tie the game at 73 and force overtime.

Team finished the season with a 29-2 record, ranked fourth in the Associated Press Poll, shot 57.4 percent from the field with five players scoring in double figures, and outrebounded Evansville Reitz 44-24.

Dana Batt received the Arthur L. Trester Mental Attitude Award in Class 4A boys basketball, ranks 30th in his class of 508 with a 4.11 GPA, and participates in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and community service.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit the resolution to 10 team members, Head Coach Chris Johnson, three assistant coaches, two managers, athletic director, principal, and superintendent.
