Honors Soldier Dogs for Independence, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves Indiana veterans with physical and mental injuries through service dog pairing and training programs.

Provides hand-picked dogs from local shelters for trial or adoption, or allows veterans to enroll their own dogs upon organizational approval.

Implements a 24-week training program for veteran-dog pairs led by behavioral trainers and volunteers with a combined 30 years of experience, followed by AKC Canine Good Citizen and Public Access testing.

Ensures all service dogs comply with American Disabilities Act regulations and provide companionship and assistance with daily tasks to help veterans reintegrate into family and community life.

Offers 24/7 crisis support to veterans with board members and volunteers trained in suicide prevention, with leadership including Michael Barrentine (president), Linda Drake (secretary), Dana Markee (treasurer), Kevin Crum (vice president), and other trained staff.
