Indiana House of Representatives recognizes Susan Jordan for her outstanding leadership in education, dedication to her students and family, and her final act of heroism on January 26, 2016.

Susan Jordan served as principal of Amy Beverland Elementary School in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township and was known as a legend in Central Indiana education circles.

Jordan sacrificed her life to protect her students when they found themselves in harm's way, embodying her lifelong commitment to placing students first.

Jordan was a dedicated mother, sister, and longtime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church whose faith was paramount in her life.

Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Lawrence Township School Corporation and the family of Susan Jordan.
