Indiana House of Representatives recognizes Coach Jack Keefer's accomplishments and contributions to the youth of the state.

Jack Keefer served as head varsity basketball coach at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis for 40 years beginning in 1976, the only varsity basketball coach in the school's history.

Coach Keefer compiled 740 wins and 301 losses as of February 13, 2016, ranking second among active Indiana high school coaches, and is a member of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame with four state championship titles.

In 2006, Coach Keefer received the National High School Coach of the Year award from USA Today, Sports Illustrated, and the National High School Coaches Association—an honor never previously bestowed on any Indiana high school coach.

The Lawrence North High School gymnasium was renamed in Coach Keefer's honor on January 29, 2016, and the Principal Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Coach Keefer and the Lawrence Township School Corporation.
