Representative David Niezgodski, first elected in 2006 to represent House District 7, is leaving the House Chamber at the end of the 2016 legislative session.

Niezgodski served on the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee during his tenure.

Prior to his House service, Niezgodski was a St. Joseph County Council member from 1998 to 2003, served as St. Joseph County commissioner in 2003-2004, and was treasurer of the St. Joseph County Democratic Central Committee from 1998 to 2002.

Niezgodski is a licensed master plumber and owner/president of Niezgodski Plumbing, Inc., and held leadership positions in the St. Joe Valley Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association and the Indiana Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors, serving as president in 2013-2014.

The Indiana House of Representatives bids farewell to Niezgodski and directs the Principal Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to him and his family.
